How do Teeth Whitening Strips work?

A potent little powerhouse called hydrogen peroxide penetrates the enamel and releases oxygen and hydroxyl radicals that oxidize and break down large stain molecules. The stain then shrinks, making the tooth appear whiter. Incredible, magical science!

Will I experience sensitivity?

Just like pizza topping preferences, sensitivity levels are highly individual. We carefully select ingredients that reduce and/or remove the feeling of sensitivity to make the process as comfortable as possible. (And if you must know — pineapple on pizza. Yeah, we said it!)  

In fact, in an independent study, 100% of subjects did not experience any tooth sensitivity after 7 days.* Pretty cool, huh?

How often can I use the whitening strips?

Our BURST Ambassador hygienists and dentists recommend whitening four times a year or every 12 weeks.

Can I leave the strips on for longer than 15 minutes?

We designed our strips to achieve maximum results in 15 minutes, so there's no need to wear them after that. We understand how you might get attached, though.

How long will my results last?

How often you brush and floss, the food and drink you consume, and other lifestyle habits can affect the longevity of your results. Good thing you can use these babies four times a year to keep those pearly whites shining bright.

Can they be used with dentures, fillings, veneers, crowns, caps, implants, bridges, or bonded teeth?

Our whitening strips will only whiten natural teeth. However, if you have any of the above-mentioned dental work, our strips won't damage it. So, fret not if you have one or more teeth with work — it's still safe to strip.

What are the ingredients?

PVP, glycerin, hydroxypropyl cellulose, water, HP (6%), alcohol, stevioside, menthol, cocos nucifera oil, aloe, and xylitol.

Who shouldn't use these?

Keep out of reach of young cubs and expecting/new mama bears. Aka, Teeth Whitening Strips by BURST are not intended for children under 12 and are not recommended if you're pregnant or nursing.

Should I apply the strips before or after I brush?

After brushing is best. Give your chompers a quick scrub with fluoride-free paste or simply water, floss, and then apply strips. After that, keep your white smile bright with our charcoal toothpaste.

Are the whitening strips safe for weak enamel?

Ohhh yeah. Coconut oil, aloe vera, xylitol and hydrogen peroxide work together to provide gentle whitening results — our hygienist and dentist Ambassadors wouldn't have it any other way! When in doubt, give your dental professional a shout.

I ingested some whitening gel! Will I be okay?

Don’t stress! Ingestion of small amounts of gel during use is expected. However, you should avoid swallowing large quantities of gel.

What are the shelf life and care instructions?

When stored in a cool, dark place, our whitening strips have a shelf life of up to two years.

How many strips are included?

Each pack includes 20 strips (10 upper and 10 lower) for 10 treatments total. That means you get the 7-day course plus 3 bonus treatments for smooth sailing through unexpected stain emergencies.

Are your products tested on animals?

Nope, nada, never, negative.
