Fluoride

A rockstar! The most clinically researched & backed ingredient, included in our paste at the optimal level to fight plaque, cavities and gum disease.

Xylitol

Our Dental Pro’s demand it be included in every paste we launch because of its power to starve out bad bacteria & neutralize mouth pH. It kicks butt!

Hydrated Silica

Some call it sand, we call it a superpower! In our toothpaste, hydrated silica works as a mild abrasive to help you clean & polish all of your teeth.

Glycerin

This guy holds onto water (yeah, really!) It helps stop your toothpaste from drying out, and gives you that nice slippery feeling while you brush.

Sorbitol

Sorbitol helps to keep your toothpaste soft, smooth and a tiny bit sweet. But unlike sugar, it won’t be a rotter for your enamel!

Water (Aqua)

H20, Aqua, melted ice, dihydrogen monoxide. You know the thing.

Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate comes from the Earth! Oh, and it helps scrub your teeth! As you brush it will gently remove debris, gross plaque, and any stains.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine

A naturally-derived surfactant that is sourced from coconut oil. This surfactant is a real foam booster!

Xanthan Gum

This gooey, sticky substance comes from organic matter. It thickens & stabilizes your toothpaste. Is toothpaste a liquid or a solid? It's kind of both!

Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf Extract

A plant extract with a very long name! Nicknamed Stevia. Stevia is actually way sweeter than sugar, but has none of the cavity causing effects.

Potassium Sorbate

A preservative with powerful antimicrobial properties. Toothpastes include preservatives to prevent bad microbes from contaminating the tube, yuck.

Citric Acid

A weak, plant derived acid (made by fermenting certain carbohydrates...phwoar, too much science). It’s used to adjust pH & stabilize our toothpaste!

Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract

Mmmm... Vanilla. And not the artificial kind. Did you know vanilla bean is chock full of antioxidants?! ! !

Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil

We include it in our toothpaste to give you that fresh feeling during and after brushing! Goodbye hot dog & cheese fries breath, hello snoggable!

Natural Marshmallow Flavor

Sweet, but not too sweet. Marshmallowy ooey gooey goodness, but while you brush your teeth.

Ingredients

What is fluoride?

Fluoride is nature’s cavity fighter! It’s a naturally occurring mineral that helps teeth resist plaque attacks while fighting off cavities and gum disease. Get a dose of fluoride with help from our Bubblegum Bonanza and Marshmallow Sparkle Toothpaste flavors!

Should my kids
use fluoride?

Great question! The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Dental Association recommend fluoride for kiddos, but only after the child is able to spit – swallowing too much fluoride can lead to some issues!

Never thought you’d be giving your kids a spit test, did ya? A good rule to follow, if you’re still unsure: hold off on fluoride until your little ones are two or older!

What is Nano Hydroxyapatite (nHA)?

Nano Hydroxyapatite (NHA) is a synthesized version of a naturally occurring mineral that makes up 90% of tooth enamel. It was first made by NASA to help restore lost minerals to astronauts’ teeth and bones after gravity-free missions! Our Strawberry Superstar flavor contains NHA but no fluoride!

Should my kids use NHA?

A strong fluoride substitute (especially for little ones who still eat toothpaste), this little wonder helps strengthen enamel and decrease tooth sensitivity. Thanks, space people!

NANOparticulates - can we get an actual kid-safe version?

There is no guarantee the nanoparticles are not going into your child's gums/brain/body. These should NOT be in a kids toothpaste (or adults). I wish there was an option without these. The research is still out, our kids/we are the guinea pigs on the nanoparticulates. I can't find out if the Marshmallow flavor has it, but there is NANO Hydroxyapetite in the strawberry. Nanoparticulates are not a "MINDFUL" ingredient. Titanium dioxide is often used in nanoparticulates, as well, though it is not specified in the ingredients for the marshmallow if it's nano or normal. If you have never researched this, it is known that NANO particles take on a different role than their non-NANO counterparts. They behave differently when cut so small, and they easily enter into the body, not just staying in the mouth and being rinsed out.

I came here because our grocery stores are being flooded with nanoparticles in children's sunscreens, toothpaste, etc, and here I thought it would be different.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and concerns. Our Strawberry Superstar toothpaste does contain nano-hydroxyapatite, which is an enamel-mimicking ingredient that’s actually been used safely in oral care for over 40 years. These particles are designed to stay on the tooth surface to help with remineralization. If any is swallowed, it naturally breaks down into calcium and phosphate, the same minerals found in teeth and many foods, and there’s no evidence of bioaccumulation.

We completely understand that some parents prefer to avoid this, and we’ve got you covered there too and offer fluoride toothpaste options that don’t include nano hydroxyapatite.

We appreciate your careful research and care for your family’s health. It’s exactly the kind of conversation that helps everyone make informed choices 💜

    Does not taste good

Unfortunately my daughter and I do not like the marshmallow toothpaste. It tastes bad, I can’t even taste the marshmallow flavor in it, more like some

Gluey paste. It was a waste of money.

    Peppermint Oil

Do not recommend if your child is sensitive to mint flavor. It is very mild, but it does have a hint of mint from peppermint oil. Mine won't use it and I didn't even think that would be an issue with something that is supposed to be Marshmallow flavored. Disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your child didn’t enjoy the taste of the toothpaste. While our Marshmallow flavor does include a hint of peppermint oil for natural freshness, we understand that even a mild mint flavor can be noticeable to some children. We appreciate your input and will keep it in mind as we continue to refine our flavors.
